Jellyfish Amigurumi | Free Crochet Pattern
Jellyfish
Pattern is written in US terms with Craft Yarn Council Abbreviations.
Beginner/Easy. Knowledge of single crochet (sc), double crochet (dc), slip stitch (sl st), back loops only (BLO), increases and decreases and amigurumi part attachment.

Supplies
- Red Heart Super Saver yarn, 100% acrylic, worsted weight, 364 yds/7 oz/198 g, Main color (MC), < 1 ball; Black (BLK), < 1 ball; Cherry Red (RED), < 1 ball, Lemon (LEM), < 1 ball.
- Lion Brand Bon Bons or similar category 3 weight yarn, White (E) daisy, Green (F) bonnet stripe.
- Furls Odyssey H (5.00mm) hook
- Furls Odyssey G (4.00mm) hook
- Furls Odyssey D (3.50mm) hook
- Polyfil stuffing
- 2- 15mm safety eyes
- Stitch markers
- Tapestry Needle
- Bobby pins (optional)
Size
Finished jellyfish sits 3.5 tall, 9 inches when tentacles are dangling.
Gauge
Gauge is not important for amigurumi. Be sure to use the same hook throughout to ensure proportional size.
Pattern Notes
- Work in continuous rounds. Do not slip stitch unless otherwise specified by the pattern.
- For best results, assemble parts in order as directed.
- Use stitch markers to signify the beginning of the rounds.
- Ch-3 at beginning of round counts as dc.

Body
Using H hook, with MC, ch 2.
Rnd 1: 6 sc in second ch from hook. (6)
Rnd 2: Inc in each st around. (12)
Rnd 3: [sc, inc] 6 times. (18)
Rnd 4: [2 sc, inc] 6 times. (24)
Rnd 5: [3 sc, inc] 6 times. (30)
Rnds: 6-13: Sc evenly around.
Rnd 14: Working in BLO, [3 sc, dec] 6 times. (24)
Rnd 15: Working in both loops, [2 sc, dec] 6 times. (18)
Insert safety eyes between rows 6 and 7, four stitches apart.
Start stuffing.
Rnd 16: [Sc, dec] 6 times. (12)
Rnd 17: Dec 6 times. (6)
Bind off with long tail. Finish stuffing.
Skirt
Using H hook, with MC, working in the exposed front loop in round 13, slip stitch into any stitch.
Rnd 1: Ch 3 (see Pattern Notes), 2 dc in same stitch, 3 dc in each st around, sl st into top of starting chain. (90)
Bind off and weave in ends.
Eyebrows
Using H hook, with MC, ch 6.
Row 1: Sc in second ch from hook, 4 sc. (5)
Bind off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Attach eyebrows in an arch directly over the safety eyes.
Tentacles
Make three, one of each length. Different lengths are listed in parentheses.
Using H hook, with MC, ch 31(35,41)
Row 1: 2 dc in third ch from hook, [dc, 3 dc in next ch] across.
Bind off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Sew Tentacles to bottom of body, evenly spaced. Weave in ends.
